look at the recent trend in GOP SCOTUS nominees -- Alito (age: 58) and Roberts (age: 53). I don't think that Leahy (age:68) is our best option for a lifetime appointment.

3. In this case, we kind of have to use their playbook.

These are lifetime appointments, and they are appointing unusually young people to the bench. If we don't follow suit, the bench will soon be entirely conservative, and reproductive rights and civil liberties will belong to the history books.
