Can we Impeach them yet?..CIA admits waterboarding inmates
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7229169.stm

The CIA has for the first time publicly admitted using the controversial method of "waterboarding" on terror suspects.
CIA director Michael Hayden told Congress however that it had only been used on three people, and not at all for the past five years.

He said the technique had been used on high-profile al-Qaeda detainees including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

Waterboarding is an interrogation technique in which the detainee is put in fear of drowning.

Mr Hayden was speaking as National Intelligence Director Mike McConnell presented his annual threat assessment.

We used it against these three detainees because of the circumstances at the time,

Some critics describe the procedure as torture and Congress has been debating banning its use by the CIA.

4. Dammit. Congress doesn't have to ban its use...
it's already banned. It is torture, and torture is illegal.

Quit pussyfooting around on this Congress. Do your damned job and start PROSECUTING THESE BASTARDS!!

Quit asking Mukasey if waterboarding is torture. That question has already been answered by our courts when we prosecuted others for it under war crimes statutes.

Quit protecting these assholes. PROSECUTE THEM AND PUT THEIR SORRY ASSES IN PRISON.

13. They are drowned to the point where they enter a "death spiral".
When the victim enters a state where fear is no longer experienced, they stop. The reason fear is no longer experienced is because they are dying. They are entering death. They are then resuscitated, and drowned again.

Bush has 48 hours to go into exile. Oh wait let me guess. It's only evil when Saddam Hussein tortures people. This is totally different. :eyes:

17. No.
Impeachment is off the table. We're substituting the rule of law with "elections".
