Torture. How Come?
Do you wonder why we torture? There is the common argument that torture produces nothing of value that we've all heard. It might be true and it might not but certainly there is no way to tell what is true and what is not if the author of the information is being tortured and so on the whole information gained by torture is worthless. That's easy enough to see.

So why do we do it?

How about the ticking-bomb excuse? Well, first off it has never happened. There has never been a time when we held a hostage who had information that a horrible event was eminent and that much loss of life would result if we did not get information out of our hostage. Let me say it again - this has never happened, not in any fairytale world other than the movies. Besides that, how do you capture a man in Afghanistan, take the time to move him around that country, fly him to Egypt or Poland, coordinate all activities with Washington, torture him for a while, and then learn that there is only an hour left till New York explodes? Give me a break.

We torture for the pleasure of the torturers. We torture as a message to the world that our evil knows no bounds and no one can stand up before us. All reasons for torture are wrong and we torture for all of them.

America's the good guys, see? So it can do whatever evil things it likes.

5. Don't you find it interesting that George W. Bush,
the leader of this uncommonly malevolent administration that has spent so much time arguing for the use of waterboarding as an interrogation technique and that it is not torture just happened to enjoy sticking firecrackers in frogs to blow them apart.

8. Have you read Shock Doctrine?
I suspect that the torture, the mercenaries, the airport humiliations, the protest zones, the sneak and peeks, the country tapping, etc are all conditioning.

Conditioning people to comply and conditioning people to compel.

The famous guard/prisoner psych experiment had impacts on both groups.

12. A decent job.....Swamp
Doesn't seem to fit the topic......but decent pic.

If I were to be tortured, I would just say, "Kill me Beotches", or give
it up.

If I were actually fighting for a cause "I believed" in.....

NO TORTURE would stop me. Just death.
