12. Here's what he's thinking..
As long as he stays in, he's pretty sure that "walnuts" will say something realllly stooopid, or that he'll get sick , or the party leaders will get cold feet, and if he's still there, the dutiful and RICH understudy, he could get the part..

And maybe he's thinking that some of the delegates will get buyer's remose and switch their alegiance to him at the convention..

He's like a guy who's been sitting at a slot machine for hours, and he's sure "it's gonna pay off soon", so he keeps feeding hundreds into it.. If he quits NOW, he'll never get any money back, but if he can afford to stay there, he might hit the jackpot and get all his money back...or maybe more :) (Looking at all the big shiny buildings in Vegas, tells us that it rarely happens...but he's got more money to play the game, so who knows?..he might be able to last that long)

7. Yes, that is a feather in Mitt's hat
It proves he's a better businessman than the Frat Boy. A high standard, that.

9. He's a very good businessman
If you want a president who'd run America like a business, Mitt's definitely your guy.

The only problem is that the American government isn't a business and shouldn't be run like one.

13. Maybe they should have bought some more-appropriate epoxy
The roof panels in the Ted Williams Tunnel are glued up. It's done by drilling a hole in the rock ceiling, sticking a piece of all-thread in the hole, filling the hole with anchoring epoxy and shoving a cap into the hole to keep the glue in until it cures. This is a completely suitable method if you use enough rods (the Big Dig tunnel didn't) and the proper anchoring adhesive. The Powers fast-set epoxy used in the Big Dig ceiling isn't as strong, and it creeped enough to let the ceiling cave in.
