God is a terrible designer
Had to go to emergency last night. Another bladder infection for the wife. God should have consulted with a women before drawing up those plans. Don't get me wrong, I love the final product, but it needs lots of maintenance. 2 bladder infections at night = $1200. And we have insurance. I know, we bought cranberry juice today.

1. He sucks at knee design, too.
They never work right, and neither do backs.

The only really good mammal design is cats.

4. What about teeth?
The only part of your party that doesn't fix itself after being damaged. I can only imagine what people's mouths looked like in the years prior to the invention of the toothbrush...

Considering how much pain those things can cause, I'm surprised our incestors evolved at all. But rest assured, no one look like THIS in One Million Years BC:

8. Barley Water, Too

Nasty stuff plain, but try to cook it in chicken broth. By the way, there is now some kind of OTC stuff for bladder infections. I don't know the brand, but I've seen it in the "feminine hygiene" section of my supermarket next to the pregnancy tests and the yeast medications. Worth a try-good luck.

9. Once somebody with bladder infections spikes a temperature
it's too late for the cranberry juice, Vitamin C, or OTC nostrums. It's time to get some antibiotics.

Untreated bladder infections have a nasty habit of spreading.

12. :eyes:
No really, eyes.

For no biological reason, the blood vessels feeding the retina are in front of it where they interfere with vision.

it's no wonder that people who think that is "intelligent design" also think that Bush is a "great President."

19. rods and cones too!
The light sensing cells are oriented wrong. They're pointing in rather than out. The axons actually travel on the front of the retina, and have to pass through the fovea to form the optic nerve. hence the need for a "blind spot". In effect, the vertebrate retina is inside/out. Not only is this an inefficient system, but it is unstable. There is a potential cleavage plane that puts us at risk for a detached retina. This is a could be a fatal flaw for any creature that depends on visual acuity.

13. Intelligently Designed?
Perhaps.

Just not *very* intelligently designed.

More like someone late finishing their homework so just threw the final product together at the last second.

14. ahh, shall we add ankles?
Hey, the medicos have knee surgery down cold, but ankle surgery is still in the Black & Decker stage of refinement (wire, screws, drills, etc.). With two months in casts and a 6 month recovery time.

(never try eating Chinese take-out when prone in the "ankle above heart level" position...messy, even with a spoon)

18. We need health care reform now.
A bladder infection shouldn't cost that in co-pays. It's really scary getting sick anymore. I just had to fork over $300 in co-pays for a prescription. So much for prescription drug reform and I can't believe those pills are worth it and cost that much to produce.
