4. where'd you hear that Tony?
If "I" were a republican who supported Romney I'd be pissed with the way that McCain used Huckleberry to double team Mitt...neither one could have been able to beat him one on one

6. Maybe he can be a game show host now.

Or do infomercials for men's hair care products.

Or he could have a bright future as a telemarketer.

Knew it was coming. Romney and Thompson were the best candidates my side had which isn't saying very much.

20. Thanks
I'm not going back to the dark side. Hopefully I can find enough common ground with one of your candidates to switch over.

Maybe his history of laying off workers and closing down plants has caught up with him...

17. Or maybe flip flopping Mormans can't win a Gooper nomination.
Much as I'd love to think that Republican voters aren't complete imbeciles and might actually factor in Romney's robber-baron past as an actual negative, rather than a positive--I don't think that's the case at all.

Democrats will in all probability take the House and the Senate handily, and they won't be able to do shit.

19. I think it's just pathetic that the Republican Party's voters seems to have more interest
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 01:06 PM by Marr
in the election (and willingness to buck the system) than the Democratic Party's voters.

So much is being made over the fracturing of the GOP's base this election cycle; Fundamentalist Christians, economic elitists, and foreign policy hawks all took their own course and insisted the party go their way. The establishment is NOT choosing the Republican candidate, hence the non-stop bleating from the Conservative Noise Machine about how terrible McCain/Huckabee are. The GOP establishment has been selling their candidates as hard as they could, but the voters just refused to buy them.

On the Democratic side, we've been spoon fed two corporate servants by our party's establishment and the media, and the voters just slurped it right up.
