If Kerry really truly means he is out and Gore has not said "No" yet then my only hope right now is for Gore stepping in and saving us from ourselves. There is no one else I can vote for with the exception of Kerry.

My dream is for Gore to step in just at the right last minute with an Oscar for the best documentary in hand, and Nobel Prize, and then do the right thing and announce he is running for President, which would be total pure and honest Karma as he turns around and then chooses John F. Kerry as Vice President.

This dream team would heal so many wounds we all are suffering from for the last seven long years.

They are indeed the dream team. They would be unstoppable. There would be soooo much hope for all of us, and the world.

Could Gore's road to the Oval Office begin in Hollywood?

Watch the short news clip near the beginning of the article --- its good.

"Lawrence Bender, producer of "An Inconvenient Truth," and the film's other producers come up to accept the Oscar -- with Gore. (Watch Bender explain while it might be Gore's time )"

Could Gore's road to the Oval Office begin in Hollywood?
I think it will.

I have a dream.

1. Link doesn't take you to the article
I couldn't find it.

I have the same dream, though.

2. I can appreciate your dream and may it come true
but after the awards ceremony. An announcement at that time would totally upstage the rest of the show. It would be in extremely bad form. Al Gore is a man of class and would not upstage his Hollywood friends who have done so much to support his work. I can't imagine the ensuing disruption that would follow such announcement, and everyone involved in the awards ceremony would feel taken advantage of. Al Gore would never consider upstaging the participants in the show.

I am with you -- I sure hope he runs. But he will wait until the right moment in time and space to let us know. Hopefully, Bush* will not get us all killed before that moment....

6. I agree. I'm not implying it will happen at the Oscars, just that the stage will be set . . .
for his presidency. I think he may elude to a possible run though.

He wants to be drafted. The country needs him. What better way to be a candidate than for the country to demand that you run. That is the only way to run in my mind. The people choose from the get go by overwhelming public opinion and draft.

8. I knew he would elude to it! And he did not say no! He's running - count on it!

4. I have a dream too. President Gore will take his rightful
place in the Oval Office and end this 8 year nightmare that we've had to endure!

5. I don't want to burst your bubble....
but... I'm not so sure about Kerry as VP but I would definately like to see Gore run.

It's strange in a way that I am not comfortable with any other candidate, just Gore. If I had to put Gore together with a VP, I would probably go with Obama first, Edwards second and Clinton third.

But keep dreaming, that's cool. And if it comes true, that's even better.

7. I'd be happy with Gore/Clark or
Gore/Richardson. We need to take back the WH. Gore is the one Dem who can do it. Hell, he won once. He certainly could again.
