8. I think it's because McCain is the defacto nominee of the Republican
Party at this point.  What makes me nervous is the more time
we Democrats spend tearing each other apart in the primary
contests, the more time it gives the Republicans to coalesce
around McCain and a bored, mischief making media to focus even
more intently on the, let us say, *highly spirited* dispute
between our candidates and their supporters.
