Which states have Democratic Secretaries of State

Project for everyone: let's all chip in to idetify which states have Democratic Secretaries of State (the people in charge of counting the votes)

The states that I know of are:

Oregon, California, Ohio, New Mexico, Iowa and Massachusetts

she does not oversee elections, as far as I can tell. We have an Election Board the oversees the election process. I don't know who sits on this board.

on edit: He's been there FOREVER. I interviewed him when I was a journalism student at the UW in the 70's! Anyway, he's a bit bizarre, but he's a Democrat.

11. But he's not in charge of counting votes

In Wisconsin, the State Elections Board has overseen elections for quite a while. Recently it was combined with the Ethics Board to become the Government Accountability Board.

8. Missouri - Sec of State Robin Carnahan..........

Her Dad, Mel Carnahan, was the dead man and former Missouri Governor that chased John Ashcroft from his Senate seat.

And her Mom, Jean, filled her husband's seat til the next election.

But the fucking state still voted for Bush in 2000 and 2004.
