can we coexist?
Many of you know I don't care for guns or killing.

I became a pacifist during the Viet Nam war.

It still wasn't the reason that kept me out of Nam.

But it stuck.

I made a promise with myself that I would never kill another human being, If I find a spider in the house, I'll carry it outside.

I'll eat meat before it's wasted.
I'd rather subsist on fish and veggies.

I wear leather shoes and a leather coat.

But I will not personally kill another living creature.

Me? I'm so far from any kind of perfection that it's not even funny. I have put a bullet through the head of a rabid dog. I have killed my dinner with the snap of a wrist, feathers flying.

I am a faulted person but I try to evolve.

You may come into my home and shoot me.

That seems to be what happens to most peacemakers

RIP
Jack
Martin
Bobby
Ghandi
etc,

There are so many more and it only makes one cry harder.

1. One of the major problems with a two party system is every group
or ideology must choose one of the two parties to work through. That's why we have such a wide variety of types in the Democratic Party. I think that many of us would not be Democrats if there were room for other parties. You don't sound to me like a "flawed" human being, just a regular human being. We are all works in progress - and you seem to be progressing right along.

:hi:

2. Thanks.
I'm not giving up yet,

Dhalgren... One of the most enigmatic novels of the 70s.
