Fugg you RyanAir
Fugg the racist psychology professor, fugg the pilots and fugg you for lying and thinking of appealing this decision.

To most of the passengers on the Ryanair Flight from Sardinia to London, the five black men sitting quietly in the economy cabin were nothing more sinister than fellow passengers.

But to the psychology professor seated near them, they could only be terrorists. For one thing, they were sitting apart – when they had been together in the departure lounge – which could only be suspicious. Worse, one of the group acted as if he was blind but was reading newspapers and magazines. Or at least, that’s what it looked like to him. After he went to the pilot saying the aircraft was in danger, Captain Sam Dunlop had the men removed from the aircraft.

The five members of Caribbean Steel International were awarded £1,116 each in damages yesterday after a judge found that they had been removed unreasonably. Far from being terrorists, they were returning from a music festival in Sardinia.

The court heard that the musicians were not sitting next to each other because the flight was full. The band’s drummer, Michael Toussaint, was indeed blind and one of the other band members had been reading the football scores to him from a newspaper while they waited for take-off.

1. Be afraid, be very afraid.
Fear everyone and everything, you never know who is going to hurt you, when, or how. Just let us take care of you, we will protect you and the price only stings for a little while...

2. I Have to Tell You, After Working on a Non-Profit Board With a Psychologist
I've got to say that the practice of Bullying seems to be all they are trained to do. And being excessively (and often dead wrong) judgmental.

And the better they are at manipulation, the more highly paid.

Not that I'm not extremely down on the profession as a whole, mind you.

After all, these are the people that tore my severely disabled daughter from her home and stuck her in foster care and the tender attentions of hourly employees, forcing me to spend thousands to rescue her from the State's tender mercies, after anonymous accusations and NO INVESTIGATION WHATSOEVER. Threaten me with criminal assault charges. And get paid to do all this.

No, I'm not prejudiced.

I just wonder how these people can look at themselves in the mirror every morning.

Perhaps, like vampires, they can't see their own reflection.

5. That may be a fair judgement of Dr. Phil but I wouldn't generalize
that...of the psychologists I know, which is about 8, my guess is 25% of them aren't into bullying.

6. Psychologists scare the hell out of me
They sure know how to get it wrong. I don't have a scientific study but I have noticed that many students in the Psych department have 'serious issues'.

4. A professor?

What's particularly distressing about this incident to me is that this was a professor.

7. I agree with the top comment at the article - the 'professor' should be named
because he's an idiotic bigot who deserves to be shunned by society.

8. It's incidents like this that are making me consider leaving the UK for good
I am tired of the treatment I get in the airport just because I am brown.
Once I had a kid in a BA flight pointing to me and saying that I was a terrorist. Of course I was not upset with the kid herself, but with the fact that probably parents preach this fear tactics at home.
In France brown man are much more respected.
