Tragic, yes... but to some, maybe familiar?
People found, barely alive, under debris.

Bodies found in wreckage.

Gunmen shooting political officials and innocent bystanders.

Explosions in plants with death tolls and burn victims.

I have been torn apart by our national news these past few days.

Then it occurred to me - this is just a fraction what the citizens of Iraq go through, and it doesn't end. Imagine this going on every day, in your beloved country - since 2003.

1. Imagine 18% of the population of your entire country turned into refugees.

2. Yes....Imagine.
This world will never be the same....that imaginary freedom we all think we have has been lost....without sacrifice by those with the power and courage by those without...I am afraid, we will never see a fraction of what we once thought we had.

I am stuck in a very bad afternoon TV Special ..called "This world is F*cked up"

4. Multiply it by ten or a hundred times and then imagine it. Imagine your husband, son, brother, or
father being dragged from the house in the middle of the night with a sack over his head. Imagine your kids being killed or maimed on their way to school by an errant bomb. Imagine living without clean water or AC in 110 degree heat. Imagine your elderly parents having their 'pensions'; their only means of support, cut off. Imagine the terror. Imagine how we would feel about those responsible.
