as i have been following all the post and replys from my fellow du family , i have to wonder where we are headed in the future , are we a nation owned and operated by the people , or have we lost what once stood for a nation of free people , owned and operated by the people and for the people , i fear we have been sold out to the highest bidder along the way , little by little tell , ( i wonder if we own any part of this country anymore ), are all the big money player of the world buying us up lock stock and barrel , well num nuts and his clan along with our willing goverment bodies are letting it all happen , i wonder how much any man or women can do to stop our bleeding country out of the path we are heading , our jobs are gone to cheap slave lobor across the ponds , i think if there was a run on any bank , the money of the depositer would not be there , now i no this sounds like a doom and goom post , but i have not given up yet , i think we need to shut this country down and demand our rights be given back to all of us , a new body of gov installed run by the people and for the people ,all major companys that have out sorced any job be taxed for any import they bring back to this country , all gov employees will have there wages reduced back to where the working poor of this country has had to bear the cost of living , all oil companys will be taken back from there owners and regulated by the people , opec will be told to either lower there prices or get the hell out of this country , we will make a plan to fuel this country fast , i could go on and on , but you get my drift , i say make peace not war , we are all living on a planet as one and we are here for such a short time , why fight ,thanks for reading this , we need to take back what once was ours

3. That is what a free market economy is all about.

The working poor absorb the damage and the loss. It means that the little guy must be absorbed by the big guy or be destroyed. It means selling a lie day after day,"to consume is to be happy". We have bought that line of crap for decades. So here we are fat and in debt up to our eyeballs. Our can-do attitude have been replaced by "leave me alone, I'm consuming".

The economy is not America any more than the government, it is the people, and we have given up our national identity for $100 t-shirts with a corporate logo across the chest.

It will take a pretty bad shock to wake up Americans from the daydream we have been living in for decades.
