going after the telecoms over the illegal wiretapping issue or should he just go ahead and nail the freakin' Patriots?
The Inquirer:
"Sen. Arlen Specter will meet face-to-face with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell before the middle of the month as part of the Pennsylvania Republican's continuing investigation into the league's handling of the New England Patriots' Spygate investigation. . . In
interview, Specter likened the potential damage from Spygate to the Black Sox scandal, when Chicago White Sox players were accused of throwing the 1919 World Series . . . Specter said his continuing interest in Spygate came not from being an unabashed Eagles fan , but from his concern that the Patriots' actions may have violated federal law - specifically, laws that make stealing of "trade secrets" a violation subject to penalties of up to $5 million for corporations, $500,000 for individuals, and prison terms of up to 10 years under the Economic Espionage Act of 1996."

As far as wastes of taxpayer money goes, I'd have to say this isn't the most egregious. As a diehard Dolphins fan for over twenty years I say nail the Patriots!!!
