Will McCain be a One Issue Candidate?
The only thing he has stated when it comes to his future Democratic opponent is that he supports the Iraq War and he or she doesn't.

America is more complex than just one issue.

And I think it's time we remind McCain of that.

Just say NO to John McCain.

1. Why remind him?
If he campaigns on war alone he will lose.

2. Honestly if our candidates were smart they would welcome a good debate on Iraq
John McCain has stood in lockstep with President Bush on the war in Iraq and the war on terror in general. Every mistake, every bad move, every lie has been applauded by John McCain. If America is opposed to the Bush approach to the War on Terror, than they ought not to be keen on another four years of it under John McCain, and our candidate ought to underline that.

Along with, as you say, pointing out that McCain is terribly out of touch on a lot of other issues as well.

3. Yep, I do think he will be a one issue candidate... and that issue includes...
keeping our men and women in Iraq for the next 100 years. He admitted that he knows basically zilch about financial issues... Someone better help us, and quickly if this nut job becomes President.

4. No. You can run in the primaries on a single issue -- or no issue -- but not in the General Election

6. With the US public now so OVERWHELMINGLY against the war, wouldn't McCain LOSE w/that issue focus?
Especially if the Democrats not only remind the public DAILY not only of the obvious horrors of the war BUT OF ITS TRILLIONS IN MONEY COSTS AND WHAT THAT MEANS FOR THE ECONOMY

If people, as polls suggest, rate the economy their #1 issue, that should concentrate a lot of "swing" voters' minds

7. Not true, McCain has another issue: less jobs
"More war, less jobs" is his campaign slogan, isn't it? Or was it "More of the same from John McCain"?

8. Remember: He's running for Commander in Chief, not President.
His recent commercial "reassures" us of that... :scared:

11. He'll run on two things, experience and the war...
he will try and convince the country that terror and Iraq are the most important issues. He'll claim that he has a "secret plan" to get us out. He'll claim that he knows how to catch Osama Bin Laden and bring him to justice. He'll claim that only he has the experience necessary to lead the country through these "trying times".
