The United States of the Telecoms?
Network Neutrality comes under attack by Republicans and the Bush Administration, this is a move that greatly benefits telecoms, even though they have no hand in creating or maintaining the Internet, thanks to Bush and the Republicans, they could become the gatekeepers of it though.

Now they get immunity for helping in wiretapping.

Last time I checked, the people of the United States are regarded as "The People", not the Telecoms.

2. You Better Check Again
The people of "United States" are no longer a viable entity. We have no money to give to the politicians, the Telecoms and other corporations do!

We only get one chance every so often to make our voices heard, but when that day in November has passed, those that we voted for no longer need the people, not until we re-elect them, and we will we always do.

Watch and see what happens in the next election cycle for congress, the Democrats that have joined the "Let's Fuck the American People" drive will get their jobs back. We as a people are blatently stupid, we allow groups like the DLC and the DNC to tell us who are candidates are going to be and just like the Repukes we tend to follow the script, just like a group of lemmings finding their way over a cliff.

5. We don't care. We don't have to.

Ernestine laid it all out for us ...

"Here at the Phone Company we handle eighty-four billion calls a year. Serving everyone from presidents and kings to scum of the earth. (snort) We realize that every so often you can't get an operator, for no apparent reason your phone goes out of order , or perhaps you get charged for a call you didn't make. We don't care. Watch this just lost Peoria. (snort) You see, this phone system consists of a multibillion-dollar matrix of space-age technology that is so sophisticated, even we can't handle it. But that's your problem, isn't it ? Next time you complain about your phone service, why don't you try using two Dixie cups with a string. We don't care. We don't have to. (snort) We're the Phone Company!" -- Lily Tomlin from "Saturday Night Live: The First 20 Years" (1994 Cader Company).

Snort ... snort.
