Were it not for the slip of one man's tongue during a hearing we would have never know about the White House tapes and Nixon would never have been impeached. FISA is exactly the same thing for Bush. If immunity is not granted to the telecoms they will have to testify in open court as to what they did at the direction of the Bush Administration and that will lead to his immediate downfall. This is what it is all about, no more, no less. It is not about protecting American companies, it is not about cooperation in the future, it is not about safeguarding Americans. It is about putting a permanent shield against prosecution for George W. Bush and his Administration - the most corrupt, and many would say treasonous, administration ever seen in this country.
