Dennis Miller to be cancelled again?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/02/14/dennis-miller-to-be-cance_n_86607.html

From this morning's Page Six:

Dennis Miller doesn't have much luck with sports. He was unceremoniously dumped by ABC as a commentator for "Monday Night Football" in 2002, and now his Versus cable channel show, "Sports Unfiltered With Dennis Miller," looks destined for the scrap heap after just three months. "Frankly, it doesn't look good," a former staffer tells Santa Barbara News-Press columnist Richard Mineards.

Previously: "Unless you're a connoisseur of the high artform known as "A.M. talk," you might not be aware that the smarmy, smirky, obscure-reference-loving comedian/commentator Dennis Miller has recently RADICALLY REINVENTED himself as a smarmy, smirky, obscure-reference-loving right wing radio host." — Eli Braden, "Dennis Miller's Got A Brand New Bag," 23/6

3. he was funny in the past
Then someone hit him on the head with a pipe or something. Not sure but he suffered some kind of brain damage.

5. Uh oh.
I thought his first right-turn came shortly after his first cancellation waaaaaaaaayyyy back in the early 1990s, as a reactionary "nyah-nyah" at the mostly liberal entertainment industry that couldn't afford his bombing skills. A few more firings and cancellations, and I'm afraid we may hear of him next as Grand Wizard Dennis Miller.

7. To be quickly followed by the cancellation of his game show

He's probably already broken Tim Conway's record for most flops.

8. I figured he'd be a fry cook at McDonald's by now
he had a great start... I really enjoyed his monologues on his HBO show. Then he suffered some type of brain damage and became a neocon, and the neocons hated him, so now he's just another no-talent windbag.

10. Miller cast his lot with Bush and the neocons -- bad career move.
Miller likes his snooty-sounding, sorta-intellectual humor woven into long-winded rants. It works real well with college students, but college students never followed Miller when he went way, way right. So, Miller has been left trying to play to small right-wing crowds of students. No good. He has no appeal with the signigicantly larger population of rightwing knuckledraggers who don't get his humor.

At this point, Miller must be shaking his head and muttering, "What was I thinking?"

13. Dennis Miller humor ...

Dennis Miller humor seems to be looking up obscure things in an encyclopedia and then criticizing others for not knowing it. When I like Dennis Miller's humor, I was an asshole.

You could tell from the start he never watched the news, much less read it.
