Traitors in the senate who voted to illegally spy on American citizens
This was one of the most important votes in the Senate concerning preservation of our freedoms - maybe in our lifetime - whether to grant retroactive immunity to the communications companies who gave your phone records to the government for their dragnet spying on US citizens - no probable cause - which our constitution explicitly forbids.

Never mind the feces of society the Senate that call themselves Republicans - who can always be counted on to support anything Bush and Cheney want, legality be damned - the following is a list of Democrats who caved. These scumbag traitors need to be voted out - including Webb and McCaskill, who we were deceived into being so proud of in '06

Webb's little show he put on some time ago standing up to Bush doesn't mean much if he spends the rest of his term kissing his ass like this…

Remember it all started with deputy dawg Reid (worthless a**hole) choosing the SIC bill to bring to the floor instead of the SJC bill which didn't have immunity in the first place.

This is how the Senate voted on the Dodd/Feingold amendment, which would have stripped retroactive immunity from the surveillance bill just now. The final tally was 31-67; crossing over to vote nay were Senators:
Jay Rockefeller (D-WV),
Evan Bayh (D-IN),
Daniel Inouye (D-HI),
Tim Johnson (D-SD),
Herb Kohl (D-WI),
Mary Landrieu (D-LA),
Claire McCaskill (D-MO),
Mark Pryor (D-AR),
Blanche Lincoln (D-AR),
Dianne Feinstein (this bitch's vote is no surprise) (D-CA),
Ken Salazar (D-CO),
Tom Carper (D-DE),
Barbara Mikulski (D-MD),
Jim Webb (D-VA),
Ben Nelson (D-NE),
Bill Nelson (D-FL),
Kent Conrad (D-ND),
and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI).

Of the three presidential candidates in the Senate, Obama voted against immunity (good for him - he has my support); McCain voted for it and Clinton was not present to vote.

1. fucking appalling
I wish i could have a one-on-one with a few of them to just find out WHAT they were thinking. Webb especially.

There is SOMETHING insidious behind this immunity thing that we don't know.

4. Rockefeller paid off. Some of his biggest contributors are telcom. I don't know about the others
but wouldn't be surprised if some of the others were too.

7. I'm not sure about that...
I have the opportunity on the 19th to meet my Rep. Brad Ellsworth and I will ask him about this for sure. Brad and Evan surely talk on a regular bases.
