looks like a possible McCain-Romney ticket,, that would make sense
that would negate any discussion of fringe religion, and his military age sons who served their country in the Winnebago Division would tamp down the prowar nuts, perhaps. Just an opinion.

6. That would NOT get McCain the Fundie vote! Remember, they don't like or trust Mormons!
I don't see that happening.

8. That would be interesting since they hate each other's guts...
I hope he does, they both have diarrhea of the mouth and engage in blatant and pandering flip-floppery.

10. That would just look wrong.
Romney looks like a movie president (or retro news anchorman) and talks like a game-show host...he would totally upstage McCain.

12. At least we could resurrect the name "McRomney"
Edited on Fri Feb-15-08 01:26 PM by ProgressiveFool
It would be a horrible ticket - Romney does nothing for McCain. Better for McCain to pick Huckabee, who would help him hold the south against Obama (he wins it easily against Hillary, IMO), and he seems to genuinely like and get along with Huckabee, so it won't strain the voters' suspension of disbelief to vote for them. A southern governor would be the best choice, and what better southern governor is there out that at the moment than Huckabee, from the GOP perspective?

13. If Romney can't get enough votes to get
nominated and had to drop out, what makes you think he'd be any kind of an asset to McCain or are you thinking Romney will help sink McCain because he already isn't wanted?

15. Maybe, maybe not
I'm not voting for it in any case. As long as Senator McCain wants to continue the war in Iraq, I don't want to talk to him.

16. McCain-Romney has a better ring to it than McCain-Huckabee I will say that
And that does count. This wouldn't surprise me except these two freaks hate each others guts. That might play into the decision?
