When the Congress returns from recess...?
In a couple of weeks, I think? They should offer another 21 day extension to Mr Bush and the Republicans. Judging from Mr Bush's previous actions, it is doubtful that he would accept it. He wants full immunity for the telecoms and himself. The Democrats should keep giving the Republicans just a little more rope until they hang themselves. Eventually, the people will see what is happening.

In doing so, the Republicans will have to admit that the country is not more "vulnerable" or otherwise, they are willing to gamble with the security of our country rather than work with the Democrats to protect our Constitution and to protect our nation at the same time. It is not a good position for the Republicans to defend. The Democrats should stick to their guns and protect our Constitution.
