1. Nope. This sort of behavior really hurts other police also.

This has been posted several times in last few days with links to youtube and somewhere else. Most everyone replying agrees.
FWIW, here is an example.

2. That is one really sadistic sick bastard. I always wonder what it is about
abusing people that those sick fuckers get off on the most.

Someone needs to get his worthless ass down on the ground and choke the shit out of him. I hope that kid's parents take away his badge. Without it he's nothing.

4. Who would be a cop...
if they dismissed all of the bullies and crooks? I keep hearing people complain about the type of people that become cops, but I haven't heard any concrete real solutions for a replacement for those type of people.

5. Here's one.
My brother and I had a long conversation the other day about these videos and other incidents of irrational and unprofessional behavior by cops. Here's his solution;

No person should be allowed to be a police officer that does not have at least a 4-year college degree.
Extensive screening for dominant personality traits/behavior. (We don't want wimps, but we don't want people on a power trip, either)
Extensive background checks not unlike what the FBI and the CIA conducts (Interviewing neighbors, friends, teachers, etc.)
Extensive psychological testing for stress situations and reactions. We want people who actually do want to "Protect and Serve", not individuals who become cops primarily so they can boss others around.
Deeper, more thorough training on the proper use of non-lethal force.
Deeper, more thorough training on the proper use of firearms.
Extensive and thorough schooling on civil rights and the constitution.
Extensive and thorough schooling on methods to defuse tense situations, as opposed to escalating them.

Weed out those currently employed as Police Officers nationwide that are found to have personality traits that lead to a propensity for ill feelings or ill will towards the population in general.

How many instances like the one in the video occur in England? They seem to have a very civilized police force.

6. In about 5 years these kids will be adults.
who hate and fear law enforcement. We'll also have thousands of vets not much older than them with PTSD.

Heaven help us all.

7. reminds me of every cop I've ever met
I remember meeting a relative I hadn't seen for 15 years (since he was 15); he was a brutal, bullying asshole as a teenager, and he hadn't changed at 30. After I got away from the jerk, I asked his wife, what employer on earth would hire such a venomous, bigoted, angry guy? She mentioned, oh, he's a police officer. Nuff said...
