My son's happy update.

Last month we got the news that my son had a brain tumor. I posted here one day while quite despondent and the reply from this great community was large and heartfelt. I thought you would all appreciate the happy ending. (So far)

Rob is 20 years old and in College here in CT. He has had seizures and we were told was Epileptic. His meds were not working well anymore and his seizures more frequent. January 3rd he took a MRI and we were informed he had a large tumor. We were told it was the cause of his seizures and would have to come out. Well he is coming home either today or tomorrow and the prognosis is amazing. We were told worse case scenario was a loss of Speech, requiring Speech Therapy, a loss of peripheral sight, and possible feeling or movement on his right side. Well these side effects never happened. His tumor was large (The size of a tangerine) but fortunately it was a Meningioma which didn't grow in the Brain but the lining of the Brain. It pushed the Brain away but was totally separate from it. Most importantly it probably is benign. We will know for sure in a few days.

Thanks again for all your kind words, prayer and support. It seems that, and an amazing Yale Hospital staff has saved our son.
