Bush on Obama: "Seems like there was a lot of excitement for me."

Bush hates being irrelevant
by Chris in Paris · 2/17/2008

Put aside his false statements (OK, lies) that the abstinence programs work and put aside his strange comment about not wanting to give money to people who steal from the people (cough, Iraq, cough Halliburton, cough) and you still have an amazing quote from Bush. He has to be the center of attention and it must be driving him mad that he's become a complete has-been and is irrelevant.
At the news conference, both leaders dodged a question about the presidential race in the United States and the candidacy of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., whose father was Kenyan.

Bush, momentarily taken aback by a question about the excitement surrounding Obama's candidacy, said: "Seems like there was a lot of excitement for me."

HUH???

7. Sad to say, a LOT of people would want him on their team
When you hire Shrub, or put him on your board, you get access to one of the most valuable assets around: the personal cell phone numbers of a lot of really scummy people who count their money with livestock scales.

And so long as you just give him a job doing nothing but playing golf with CEOs of companies you want to do business with, you probably won't destroy your company. Just don't put him in charge of anything, especially setting the roster for your baseball team.

14. I know he can't...
but he's got a history of people hiring him not for who he is or what he can do, but because of what his dad, his dad's friends and Dubya's friends himself can do for the hiring organization.

His being dumb as a fucking rock is almost immaterial. Almost.

Shit, he's probably in line to become CEO of The Home Depot. Neither the current one nor his predecessor could drive a nail in straight much less actually identify any of the things we sell, but they have plenty of friends so that's okay.

You remember how F. Scott Fitzgerald (I think, don't quote me on this) said the rich are different from you and I? He was right. You and I have to be competent to get a job. Not so old money.

the first time. and dirty tricks were involved the 2nd time. if there is excitement from you then why the need to put up fake terror alerts and lie about your opponent.

9. It always has to be about him, doesn't it?
What a fucking narcissist. I'll bet the excitement over Obama just eats at him, and not because Obama is a Democrat. It's because he knows damn well there was never anything even close for him, even at the staged events with pre-screened attendees.

sub-consciously mangled the syntax to, yes, refer to himself as the OBJECT of the "excitement".
IOW, Bush's megalomania MADE him speak his truth.
