I wish there was a way to turn off the GD-P threads from "Latest'
The subject lines are so derogatory toward one candidate or the other, I can't tell it apart from Free Republic anymore.

Since requests for civility have gone no where, Skinner, Earl G, Elad, is there a way to program it so that we can elect for no GD-P subject line threads to appear in latest? For the blood pressure of many, I think it would be appreciated. I can avoid the forum altogether, but not readily when every darned flamebait thread shows up upon perusal of the latest threads--squeezing the life out of anything else, including real news....

Anyone else like to see this feature added?

Check in your options. :toast:

Edit: Sorry, it's options => preferences, then select "yes" for "Hide General Discussion: Primaries from the Latest page?"

2. Here is a napkin. Wipe all that egg off your face.
On the other hand this is perhaps the unintentionally funniest post so far today.

4. I see the rudeness from GD-P has slopped over.
Nice, Warren. No, I don't feel stupid for asking a simple question. You, on the other hand should feel something for your blatant rudeness, but I doubt that you do.

8. Actually you did not ask a question.
And I am sorry you are so offended. I thought it was genuinely funny. I apologize for offending you. It is still very funny.

"I wish there was a way to turn off the GD-P threads from "Latest'" that is a statement, not a question.

Is a statement, not a question. But I agree I am frequently stupid. You did indeed ask a question inside your post. You win. I concede defeat. Your post is no longer the funniest thing I have read all day.

13. That you did not know a feature existed, but thought it was a good idea tells me...
1. that you have good ideas, similar to the admins

2. that the admins created a solution that appeals to many, such as you or me.

overall, you should feel pretty good about that.

17. You can
How to HIDE threads posted in the General Discussion: Primaries forum, so you will not see them on the Latest page.

If you wish to avoid seeing threads from the General Discussion: Primaries forum, you can set your preferences so that they will not appear on the Latest Page. Here's how:

Just click the "Options" icon at the top of any page, and then click "Edit your preferences" to go to the Preferences page. Scroll partway down the page until you see the words "Hide General Discussion: Primaries from the Latest page?" Select "yes," then click the "Update" button at the bottom of the page.

And, of course, if you want to avoid seeing threads about the Democratic presidential primaries, you should avoid entering the General Discussion: Primaries forum.

Thank you for your understanding.
