It seems that children are learning less and less about history (and everything else) these days!

I'm from MD, so I take pride in that fact that we have up the land for DC. Talk about patriotism! Haha :)

4. All due to the land surveying system outlined in the Land Ordinace of 1785.

The system of townships, sections, and all that good stuff goes back to days of the Articles of Confederation.
