1. Make them eat some of the recalled beef...
Aw, are your brains being turned into swiss cheese? Have fun with that...

2. They should eat the stuff themselves, especially the hamburger.
Maybe it should be served in their children's schools, too.

Most of all, we should once again hire a bazillion inspectors and send them to work.

3. I saw the video of those poor cows...
...and I also heard that the beef is sold to schools for their lunch programs.

Fuck these corporations and their contempt for the American people, and for these
poor, suffering animals!

These companies are nothing but pure evil.

I pledge tonight that I will not allow my kids to eat hot lunch when they are serving
any red meat. No more. My kids love to each lunch at school when they have pancakes
and french-toast sticks for lunch. They get a kick out of that. At least it can't kill
them! That's probably going to be the only school lunches they get. I'll make their
lunches all of the time now.

Geez. These corporations are just beyond the pale, and we have a government that doesn't
care if we die from corporate greed. They're happy to play along.

Anyone else want a rude awakening into the meat-packing/fast food industry--please rent
"Fast Food Nation". It changed so many things in my life! A great movie.

6. How soon until we have an American Bhopal?
The feds have defunded regulators and inspectors. We're pretty much back to the wild, unregulated past.

What's next? Child labor?

And it isn't just red meat, or meat alone, that you need to fear. Remember the raspberry (strawberry?) thing from a few years ago? That was school lunch stuff, too.

4. More reason to not eat red meat....I'm going to go back to not eating red meat again.
I felt better when I did that.

5. Yes. Sending unsafe food out to make a profit is criminal.
