Is there a time presidential candidates have to declare by?
Assuming of course that it has to be before a party's convention, but is there a time when they must declare? Thanks.

Technically, someone could never declare and still be nominated at the convention. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

3. Theoretically, the convention could nominate someone who never declared
his/her candidacy...obviously farfetched but wouldn't be illegal or improper. :-)

6. Thanks to all who answered, was wondering because of pressure here
pressure to declare who you are supporting when it seems that all those contending haven't yet declared themselves and I was getting confused. Again.
