Here we go again: Serbia recalls ambassador from US
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7251802.stm

Serbia has recalled its ambassador from Washington in protest at US recognition of Kosovo's independence, saying the US has "violated international law".

Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica also threatened to withdraw envoys from other countries which recognised the territory's secession from Serbia.

Mr Kostunica said the envoy's recall was Serbia's "first urgent measure".

France, the UK, Germany and Italy have all recognised the new state following its declaration of independence.

In New York, Serbian President Boris Tadic asked the UN Security Council to reject Kosovo's declaration.

1. You know what? They don't like it, we should just bomb them flat, yet again. I mean that.
Fuck the whole fucking lot of those Nazi Serb murderers.

And stupid Nazi murderers they are as well, given that they've forgotten the lesson we thought we taught them in 1999.

I'm the LAST one on DU to advocate military force, but it's the ONLY thing some people understand.

3. Diplomacy, NOT Bombs
I hear your anger, but bombs are NEVER the answer.

Diplomacy works.

But ONLY if it is tried.

4. When you support secession over there
Edited on Mon Feb-18-08 06:04 PM by malaise
do you not think the idea of secession will spread elsewhere -like in the US?

5. I'm actually in favor of secession anywhere. I really do believe that if any group of people
in a geographic area want to be independent (as expressed, FORMALLY, by a clear majority of the residents of that area)...let them go.

And in response to the inevitable replies, "What about the American Civil War?" I do believe it still should have been fought. But not for the reason of "preserving the Union;" rather it should have been a War Against Slavery, pure and simple.

7. Given that Kosovar Serbs were ethnically cleansed by Italian-Albanian fascists
pre-WWII, I find your label of calling them Nazis somewhat ironic.

8. What a reasonable, rational response!
I mean, it worked so well in Iraq, right?

9. No, it DID work well in Kosovo / Serbia, way before Iraq. You could look it up,
if you wanted to.
