Why Swift-Boating won't work in the General Election

You. You are the reason.

Four years ago, we were not as numerous, nor as organized, nor as practiced. Since that time, I have seen how MOVE.ON responded to crap, I have witnessed and cooperated in review of released hordes of documents, and seen how we found important nuggets hidden inside. I have marveled at the knowledge and education, background and training, and creativity of people here and elsewhere, and how that great combination clears the air and repairs the damage done by lies and spin.

Today, I have seen several threads here that discounted crappy allegations, with facts, research and rational arguments.

THAT IS WHY SWIFT-BOATING WILL NO LONGER WORK. Unless, of course, we learn the allegations to be true.

2. I think you have too much faith in the average American.

We may not fall for such things, but to the less political savvy American, if Fox "News" says it's true, it must be!
