1. PETA has in fact financially supported "domestic terrorists" in the past.
I don't remember the recipient's name, I'm afraid, but he was one of those destroy-medical-research-labs guys. Now, I'm not saying that is a legitimate use of the term "terrorists" though instilling terror may have been part of his purpose.

2. They say HSUS=PETA, therefore BOTH are terrorists.
Probably just another chance to argue with me. It's becoming a pastime around here.

6. I'm just tired of arguing with stupid fucks.
The whole political process is turning me from being mildly antisocial to being completely asocial.

Anyway, yeah, there are more than enough knuckle-draggers around to fill the Grand Canyon (which was carved out by Noah's flood.)

13. Well, I know I make mistakes.
I don't think that makes anyone stupid. The trouble is, it is hard not to have a superiority complex when one considers that most Americans can't find the USA on an unmarked map of the world and have not cracked a bona fide book in the last year. I try to remind myself, just because a lot of other folks are bone-stupid does not make me a genius.

I say that when I hit the city limits driving into town, I can SMELL the Single Strand DNA.

I just keep hoping it's not like a Prion, and one day I wake up one of them.

12. you think that is something, wait till a group you belong to is labeled as a 'terrorist' group
I must admit that there is something refreshing about being labeled a terrorist. I'm not saying which ones, but a few groups that I have dealings with have been labeled as "terrorist".
It fills me with a certain amount of warmth to be considered "resistance", "revolutionary", and/or "dangerous". I am far from an angry revolutionary as the groups I speak of are environmental and civil rights organizations, but it is nice to be considered in opposition to the current crop of mouthbreathers that are runnig things today.

15. A lot of people just get irrational because
they assume you're going to start preaching to them about meat. I eat meat, I support animal welfare and weak animal "rights". Fortuntate, I guess, but I've made some inroads with otherwise hard to convince people.

17. Don't Lose the Subject Here
Don't lose the important point here: the Humane Society just conducted a major undercover investigation of a California slaughtering plant, on information that there was terrible cruelty there, inflicted on the animals, and that there were very sick "downer" cows being used for meat that would eventually be eaten by humans, supposed to be illegal. Some of the cable news channels, and some local news, have been playing parts of the undercover vidoe shot by the Humane Society at the slaughterhouse, and it is so horrible, it makes you cry, the suffering animals are treated with such cruel, violent brutality, no sympathy or kindness at all for their heartbreaking pain and suffering, and actually shoved and kicked to their deaths, when they are not supposed to be there at all, with their sicknesses.

Vidoe clips show workers--over and over again, with no remorse, as if this is
always the practice--dropping them from forklifts, kicking and hitting them, to get the poor animals to keep moving, jabbing them in the EYES, with pitchforks and handles, on and on and on; it is horrific cruelty. It might remind you of the undercover video some group got (PETA?) a few years ago from a South Carolina Tyson chicken processing plant, I think it was, of prick employees throwing chickens against the wall, stepping on them, etc., etc. Beyond the threat to health, (sick animals are "unfit for human consumption," or supposed to be), the spectacle of these poor animals subjected to this horrible, violent cruelty, hopeless and unable to react, tortured all the way to their deaths by these bastards who have no kindess or sympathy toward them at all--we are supposed to be a modern, civilized Nation here, that tries to minimize their suffering and fear--is just so outrageous, it makes you cry, and these fuckheads in the Bush/Cheney Administration NEVER DO ANYTHING to stop ANY animal cruelty committed by their corporate cronies.

If you go to the Humane Society website, http://www.hsus.org/ , and find the story on the home page of the investigation and beef recall, you can click on the word "Investigation" and read the story; there is also horrific video, which I did not watch this time. The Humane Society is doing God's work.

19. That's how backwards some asshats are
Your organization causes (potentially or actually) damage to the profits of mega-corporations? You're a terrorist organization.

Your organization terrifies people, incites violence and quite possibly kills humans? Meh. Just a bunch of people with a different POV. (Or rather, these dudes weekend gig)
