If, as we are told, The Rich Are The Ones Paying All the Taxes, Then Nobody Should Mind If I Don't
Here I am on a skinny little retirement check and day after day I'm told that the rich pay the majority of taxes in this country, so I'm thinkin' what the hell, why should I pay? They'll take care of it.

2. They don't say that, you do
It is common knowledge the rich may pay the most taxes, but then again, they make most of the money, so.....

Speaking as one who is very comfortable financially, the rich do not pay enough, IMO. The tax policies of the last 25-30 years have been easier on them than the little guy. Why? Hell, they make the damn policy!

The taxing structure needs to be reworked to reflect who is making the money. The once thriving middle-class has dwindled the last 30 years, and they are making less and less compared to what the rich are making.

A flat tax would do the job. Everyone pays 30%, no matter your income, and the government would take care of healthcare. That sounds reasonable and fair. I already pay 15% of my income to healthcare anyway.

3. Actually the Bush Administration's policy is to ignore the wealthy tax cheats
and go after lower and middle class tax frauds. Kind of begs the question, doesn't it?

4. Bush** said in so many words, trying to increase taxes on the rich doesn't work because they can
hire accountants and attorneys to find ways out of paying taxes. He actually said that. For once, he spoke the truth. Thus the policy of screwing the poor.
