Newtonian principles in politics: now that the McCain scandal has broken, there will be ...
... an outsized, opposite reaction, to deflect.

Rove's fingerprints are all over this. And the next shoe to drop will be a new story about a Democratic couple, to drown out the McCain story. McCain goes down first, then the Democratic couple.

I'd lay $1000 bucks on it.

4. I'd heard rumors to this effect. Lots of stuff like this swirls around the Hill.

7. Actually
heard on some foreign websites speculation about her primary opponent. I won't dignify it by printing it here, though.

As an FYI, I have not supported any of the Dem candidates and will not until the nomination is locked up - then, I'll support the winner.

8. I can't afford to remain on the sidelines.
Too much at stake. But I respect those who are keeping their powder dry until after the nom is selected.

9. I've got no powder to keep dry
I flipped a coin & voted Obama in the CT primary. If there is something negative about him in the foreign press that is not in the US news, why is that keeping my powder dry?

Or, do you mean Republicans know about it & are waiting until Obama is more officially the nominee?

10. I prefer to engage at every stage of the process...
... and having moved from Edwards to Obama, am actively engaged in seeing Obama thru to the White House.

Some progressives prefer to wait until the nom is selected; I have no quarrel with that. I just prefer to be actively engaged throughout.

12. Yup, there will be a mad scramble...
... to drop a bigger story into the mix, to drown this one out.

I suspect there are some frayed nerves in the Clinton Campaign right about now.
