I think MSNBC is getting it right by reporting the McCain-Vicki Iseman story as "Breaking News"

Believe me, this is big -- and likely the tip of the iceberg.

Take a careful look at the Times byline. This is the cream of their political A Team.

I'd betcha a helluva lot more than a dollar that they have more on this and/or related stories.

And bank on this: for once in, say, a decade, the unctuous, flatulent Rush Limbaugh is going to be worth a listen tomorrow. I'm curious as to how he's going to play this story. One of my best pals is pretty tight with his engineer, and they hate McCain with the blistering heat of a thousand suns.

Note that CNN has also cut into their schedule to break the news, only to go back to John Roberts talking to bobbleheads about the coming Texas primary...

1. This was a Drudge story a month or so ago. I remember wondering

when it would finally break--but McCain had already been lawyering up. It IS big.

2. I don't believe Drudge was the first to drop big hints about this...

I'm going to have to do a little Googling, but I recall reading about this matter a few months ago, and I'd heard some buzz about the Times working the story well before the discredited Matt "Sidney Blumenthal beat Clinton's love child with John Kerry's intern" Drudge mentioned it.

Slightly OT: the denizens of Free "Brichers with 2400 Baud Modems" Republik are completely freaking out about the news.
