CBS news' morning show carries the McCain story
http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/politics/main250.shtml

Seems Johnny's going to have a presser later today.

His campaign manager, Rick Davis, says its like a tabloid story, not worthy of the NYT. "We're going to push back," he said bravely. When asked to deny things - like th staff keeping the woman away - he went off on a tangent without answering the question.

This has legs for at least another day. I hope to hell the DNC, if not the campaigns, will be on this like stink on shit. Not to get involved, but to make sure the story grows serious, marathon legs.

3. It's being covered on Good Morning America (ABC) as well.
McCain's reputation as a campaign finance reformer is being revealed as pure fiction. Why would a beautiful young lobbyist have a relationship with a married old guy if there weren't some type of favors being exchanged. Lobbyists make HUGE bucks for delivering for their clients.

McCain. Nothing galvanizes the right like the NYT. It even allows Limbaugh to start supporting McCain.

6. But you see how they are already framing it...
McCain Fires Back At "Smear Campaign"

The media isn't going to investigate the allegations, they are going to propagate "Smear Campaign against a hero"

God Damn it, these fuckers would fry a Democratic candidate on the same allegations but a repuke, they call it smear.

8. Stange coincidence. I'm reading about framing lately...
George Lakoff is a bit complicated, but very good at explaining it. Visit http://www.rockridgeinstitute.org

7. If you listen carefully, you'll notice that he isn't denying it...
He has never violated the public trust, never done favors for special interests or lobbyists.

Statement from McCain CampaignMcCain's campaign also issued a lengthy statement insisting that his actions did not benefit any one party or favor any particular interest.

"His actions did not benefit any one part or favor any particular interest". They're denying it on one hand, then saying that his actions didn't benefit any party. Yikes.
