Way to go, McCain - you fucking hypocrite!
After all these years of you working for campaign finance "reform" and clamping down on lobbyists, now we find that you have a lobbyist for a mistress? Woo-hoo!

Yet ANOTHER lying, hypocritical rethug. Then again, is there any other kind?

1. The issue ISN'T if he had a mistress, the issue is his special interest corruption
they both deny any affair, but neither one denies special favors given on his telecom votes

8. We can beat
John McCain...handily...without resorting to "gotcha politics".

Let those on the right (who have a beef with McCain) do what they will.

I thought that we were ready to turn the page.

Me thinks you probe in the wrong fishing hole.

Fuck Gramps and the horse he rode in on. You think Captain Blowhard Rush is going to take a pass on this?

Give me a break. What goes around comes around.

18. If Rush is
going to ride this horse, then why should we get involved?

Let them play their games. We've got more important things to do, eh?

11. He's corrupt and a major league, demonstrable hypocrite. Are you for real?
I'm a longtime Arizonan and remember the Lincoln Savings/Keating 5 scandal like it happened yesterday.

He's subverted his own bill, The McCain/Feingold Campaign Finance Reform Bill.

WE shoul IGNORE his utter hypocrisy and corruption? Wow. I want to live on your block. :eyes:

14. Yes, I'm for real.
And focusing on crap like this is why we're in the mess that we're in.

Again, let the repubs make a big deal of this. We can beat John McCain without playing those same old crusty archaic games. Let them play.

9. It's the hypocrisy of the amoral repukes that IS the issue. Along with his cheating on wife #1
with to-be-wife #2, the holier-then-thou meme of the republics should be ridiculed at every opportunity.

3. Not Quite A Denial
If you look at the parsed press release from McCain's people last night, the word "deny" was not included. As usual, it's not what they say, but don't say that says the most.

17. Some humorous words . . .
Guess who said the following:

Indeed, I take no satisfaction at all from this vote, with one exception--and an important exception it is--that by voting to convict I have been spared reproach by my conscience for shirking my duty.

* * *

I do not desire to sit in judgement of the President's private misconduct. It is truly a matter for him and his family to resolve. I sincerely wish circumstances had allowed the President to keep his personal life private. I have done things in my private life that I am not proud of. I suspect many of us have. But we are not asked to judge the President's character flaws.

* * *

Ordinary citizens don't have the world's mightiest armed forces at their command. Ordinary citizens do not usually have the opportunity to be figures of historical importance.

Presidents are not ordinary citizens. They are extraordinary, in that they are vested with so much more authority and power than the rest of us. We have a right; indeed, we have an obligation, to hold them strictly accountable to the rule of law.
