When they have once been the other woman, what makes them think that now the husband will remain faithful to them. That always amazes me.

McCain's probably pissed that he's having to deal with it again but on a bigger scale since I imagine the NYT has a slightly bigger reach than Drudge's site.

There's the stepford wife with a prozac-induced gaze...there's something I don't trust about a woman that "dolled-up" at 9am.

He still didn't deny his relationship...just suffering from typical GOOP memory lapse or overload.

There was Vitter and his "loving wife" and then Larry Craig and his "loving wife"...and now this...

I can't see how any self-respecting woman can stand there and be used as a prop to "smile away" another GOOP scandal...but then I'll bet it sure beats working at the Pancake House.

14. TWO points: "Never betrayed the PUBLIC trust." "Not a ROMANTIC relationship."
What about:

PRIVATE trust?

SEXUAL relationship?

It's admission by omission, IMO.

Not to mention McCain's tone is uncharacteristically mild and conciliatory.

suggestion it could be a "platonic" relationship.

Mika keeps going after "unnamed sources"; DG said they aren't in the business of criticizing the deliberations of other newspapers.

The "H" word---"hypocrite"---has been broached.
