Congressman Roy Blunt (MO) married his lobbyist lover
and his son became governor.

Mrs Blunt is a tobacco lobbyist.

Guess how low the tobacco tax is in MO?

Just sayin . . .

2. Who gives a shit?
You realize, I hope, that there are several Democrats in the House and Senate who have spouses who are registered lobbyists and in some cases married that person after they were already a lobbyist (and for that matter, in terms of appearances, is it better or worse that someone was a lobbyist and then married an elected official or was not a lobbyist, married an elected official, and then became a lobbyist?

This "story" should die before it starts burning some of our friends.

5. It's hard to meet single people when you can't go to bars
I don't care how two people who fall in love met, except that telling the story makes them smile.

9. For starters..
http://www.opensecrets.org/lobbyists/overview.asp?txtindextype=l

and i know where you are going..

The Sierra Club is one..so are many other worthy causes..BUT..the difference is not that hard to spot..

Some groups lobby for the good of the public or the environment or the masses of "little people" with no "voice"..

LOBBYISTS, on the other hand .......

are we to believe that people who advocate for clean air are on par with Exxon or Pfizer or "take your pick"?

13. How ironic
When one "smokes a blunt", there are NO tobacco products involved.
