The Republican Worst Nightmare....MELTDOWN...Now WHAT? McCain in Pain
Hucky is likely to become the new front runner

but most likely to lose...thus N/A

Mitt now looking more promising for a comeback at the Convention?

The Pub Party looks to be OVER...and its all their own doing by selecting the worst President in our history....thats their price of arrogance and greed.

Obama has a chance to heal the Nation in ways not thought of by them Pubs....by Peace and diplomacy, by avoiding unnecessary waste, etc.

If he can manage to pull it off...the Pubs will have to wait a long time before they stage a meaningful comeback...perhaps forever...

But, the poor widdle GOP...had all that power to do good but didn't.....

A most deserving and fitting end I hope to the GOP....a Bad Philosophy to begin with.

4. They're like cockroaches.
You could nuke the earth to glass, and they'll still crawl out from under a rock.

That being said, the smell is in the air. The GOP is limping along with it's back broken. With a little luck, they will be a non-issue for the next 50 years. Just long enough to clean up the mess we've been left with.

3. Don't know
What planet you are living on. The Mccain story seems to have disappeared from the headlines today. And most of the articles I do see are working the "is it a smear?" angle. It's going to take a lot more than smoke for the media to turn on their darling. Overconfidence will kill us. Let's act like we're 10 points behind, eh?

9. we'll be lucky
It is going to be quite a battle. We'll be lucky to get either candidate elected. I'll believe it when I see it.

10. Wish'twere so, but the wingnuts hate McNASTY & dream of his not being the one
Edited on Fri Feb-22-08 12:57 PM by UTUSN
Even though everybody thinks the B.F.E.E. brand is too corroded by Shrub, they really really would luerve for Jeb Crow Shrub to be the one.

Is it tinfoil to think that they would shitcan McNASTY in order to get somebody else in? The INGRAHAM gang tolerated Shrub because they could whip him when he strayed, like on immigration and Harriet. Jeb Crow Shrub would stray much less than Shrub, and even be a more powerful wingnut. He's their heart o'hearts.

.... He torpedoed claims that his father has a volcanic temper, a reputation that's earned the former Vietnam POW the nickname "McNasty" among Washington politicos. "It cracks me up when I hear about this crazy temper because I've lived with him for almost 22 years and I've never seen it," Jack said, although he admitted, "If I screwed up, I'd know it."

Asked about his father reportedly telling another senator "(bleep) you" in a debate over an immigration bill, Jack said, "He probably deserved it . . . (My dad) isn't a bland politician. He's candid." Jack also shot down assertions that John, 71, is too old to be commander-in-chief, noting they hiked 30 miles together across the Grand Canyon last summer.
