Kept the nose up as long as possible and the front gear held when it touched down. Wow, it looked picture perfect..

2. Many people don't realize the skill of these pilots...
since most of their work is routine, when something really remarkable occurs, they are unbelievably competent. Same goes for all professions...

5. That's what I enjoy about watching these 'events' ... craftsmanship.
Almost invariably, I get to see the pilot practice his craft at the peak of his skill in such episodes. I enjoy that.

6. the fricking pilots should earn more than the fricking executives of those companies
pilots are being squeezed in their pay and this should be proof that a well paid, experienced, well rested pilot is worth the fricking companies high pay.

A lot of the pilots I've seen lately are women. Either way, GREAT JOB!

18. You know, I thought about that after I posted. I admit that was a
sexist statement and, being a woman myself, I would love to hear that it was a woman as they are just as likely to remain calm as a man. My apologies to all women pilots cause you all rock.

11. Commercial airliiner landing in Miami
It's been on the news for almost 2 hours and some others have posted about it here in GD at DU. Trouble with front landing gear. :hi:

13. I was watching and giving a running report to a pilot friend...
...who was on the phone with me and not around a TV to watch for himself. We both cheered at the end. Great job....what precision! :applause:
