anybody know if there is such a thing as an on-line adding machine?
or something to download? not just a calculator, but something that would keep a running tally like an adding machine.

2. A calculator DOES keep a running tally.
I don't get what you want that any calculator program can't deliver.

11. what do you mean?
I mean like when I add a bunch of numbers (receipts for taxes for example) so I can see them all.

67.87
52.36
32.78
47.39
etc

there is a calculator in my start menu, but it does't show the previous numbers as you go, just the total or current entry

19. You want something that runs a tape, right....
...so you can ck to make sure you in-putted the right numbers after you are done with all the entries you have to do.

I transpose numbers all over the place and have to run a tape on anything and everything I do.

I just have a regular adding machine ~~ with a tape ~~ on my desk. Sorry, wish I could help.

13. oooh yeah that looks good to try
I found one on google too, but wasn't sure if the site was safe or what - hoping somebody just knew or already used one

does it tie into your number keys on the keyboard or do you have to use a cursor?

20. I would imagine it does, but...
I have no idea, like I said, I just did a quick Google search. the keywords I used were: virtual adding machine with running total

The description doesn't mention if it does, but I can't imagine it not using the number pad. I haven't used it though and can't vouch for the site I linked to.

I'd try it out myself, since i've always wanted one like that, but I use a Mac.

Hope you find what you're looking for.

17. not sure - probably not
just want to make sure all the numbers were entered correctly...when you add a long series of numbers on a regular calculator you can't see what you entered except just right when you enter it - then when your final total comes out you can't be sure you even got them all!

7. search "calculator shareware" and download yur pick. If you own a nice
calculator, sometimes a computer version is downloadable. There's trialware too, even advanced statistics apps.

16. the source? uhhh
I want to do simple calculations - percentage, add and subtract but especially add long series of numbers - receipts for example

is that what you meant by source? entered by hand off of paper copies???
