What? Shady Shadegg unresigns? Is he related to Larry Widestance?
Edited on Sat Feb-23-08 11:07 AM by lonestarnot
I can't believe the news that I heard today! Just last week Shadegg announced that he was retiring to spend time with his family and pursue other interests. But, today Shadegg announced he is un-retiring because a bunch of Washington special interests and politicians were begging for him to stay.

While Shadegg crawls back into the arms of Washington, he has shown Arizona his true colors. He doesn’t want to serve the people of Arizona; instead he chooses to answer the call of Washington, playing a dangerous game of politics with the future of our nation.

Please help us drive home the message that Shadegg is out of step not only with his district, but with the core values he is supposed to represent. Give as generously as you can to push this message as far and wide as possible.

Is John Shadegg the kind of person you want representing us in Washington? I think not and I need your help today to continue to share with the voters of the 3rd District why change is now a critical step in taking our country back from radical special interests, corrupt lobbyists, global warming deniers and healthcare destroyers.

Shadegg Decides to Stay
Rep. John Shadegg announced on Thursday he had changed his mind about retirement and will seek re-election this November. Last week, the Arizona congressman surprised everyone with the announcement of his intent to retire. After receiving a letter signed by 143 of his House Republican colleagues urging him not to retire, Shadegg reconsidered his decision.

1. oh, God
He used to be my congressman, a situation that left me in despair (incredibly, the Dems couldn't even mount an opponent against him when I was living in his district. .), and I'd rejoiced in the news that we'd finally be rid of him. . I hope that he goes down in flames.
