Did Clinton do anything for Gays?
I keep hearing Republicans (especially gay Republicans) say Clinton did nothing for gays. Of course, DADT comes up all the time. Is there a list of what Clinton HAS done for gays? Also, I keep hearing how Bush has done so much for Africa and AIDS,more than Bill Clinton. I can't believe thats true. Any proof?

6. Why not? There were a few Jews who joined The Nazi Party and even served in the military during WWII
I am sure that the very small handful of Jews who served the Nazis during WWII had the same justifications that Gay Republicans use.

"Being Jewish is just a small part of who I am as a person to let it define which Party I support. Sure, Hitler says my people are inferior and need to be exterminated, but he's also a Fiscal Conservative who believes in restoring The Reich to it's former greatness..."

10. Not awful, just kind of a dismissive 'what do YOU people want now?'.

17. You're right, I think we're just expecting too much.
I mean, who needs to be treated like a human being anyway? With all our librul laws, forests and animals would have more rights than humans anyway... right? :P

19. Absolutely. If you want equal rights, you have to become a closeted Republican and troll bathrooms.
That way, you can raise children and eventually have an entire family to make miserable when it all comes to a traumatic and predictable end that will scar your entire clan for generations.

That's much more socially acceptable than being allowed to register a spouse at city hall that some people think is yucky.

20. And without having to worry about the spouse thing
I'll never have to answer the age-old question: if the plural of mouse is mice, would the plural of spouse be spice?

8. Bush's Global Gag Order to stop US funding for International Planned Parenthood sure didn't help
anyone in Africa. It was the first thing Bush signed after taking the oath of office. It not only cut off abortions, it also cut off birth control, HIV information and condoms.

How many unwanted kids have been born in the 3rd world nations over the past 7 and a half years. How many cases of AIDS could have been prevented with condoms.

The Global Gag Order - remember it!!! Get it rescinded!!!

11. But
Hasn't Clinton done more for AIDS and Africa than Bush? I mean Bob Geldoff is even praising Bush over Clinton. WTF?

12. Clinton has done more out of office than he did in office
Bush has actually gotten more funding than Clinton, but he has diminished that by his refusal to let them speak of condoms. I have no idea if the extra money makes up for that stupidity. It was Kerry and Frist who pushed for the funding.

14. Abstinence. The abstinence part of Bush's program puts people at risk
or, alternately, denies funding to groups who won't push that loser.

18. But
was it Clinton or the Republican congress who got in the way of DADT? I don't know, I'm asking. DADT I have been told was a compromise and more than what a Republican would have done. Still, I understand why some gays are bitter about it.

21. DADT was a major improvement from what it was
now if your openly gay your just kicked out of the armed forces.

Before Clinton instituted DADT -- it was a felony to be caught in a gay relationship and you went to prison. In addition, you were asked when you joined up if you were gay, and if so couldn't join.

Its still not equal, but it is much better than it was.
