We all remember back in 2004, when there was that rumor that McCain would be Kerry's choice for VP, and all the pundits babbling about how John Edwards wasn't even Kerry's first choice. Dick Cheney babbling about Edwards wasn't even Kerry's first choice. They would rarely mention McCain's name, if at all.

But, it seems, that McCain was the one who initiated the whole thing, and was negotiating with Tom Daschle and Kerry about switching parties.

After the repuke convention, they've got to beat McCain to death with this. And make sure that he gets Charles Keating's endorsement.

it looks like the BFEE's candidate of choice, Mittsy Romney, decided it was better to save some of his fortune and try again in 4 years, as you can't compete with destiny.

It seems somebody or perhaps a large group of somebodies within the repub party want to make sure McCain doesn't win.

They figure the country will be in such a wreck after eight years of the shrubya even a mensa like Obama won't be able to fix this in 4 years.

Just one of many of my theories I'm kicking around right now.
