I was watching this video and have to say that throughout it I couldn't help but to shake my head in disgust at how many people are so xenophobic. I have to admit that I also couldn't help but to get a sense or irony because of where so much of the world's colonialism came from.

It is just a response to the poster who had a problem with Che. My response is only based on after Che toured Latin American on a motorcycle and after seeing the results that all the multinational national corporations had on the people of Latin America, he dedicated himself to fight for social and economic justice.

I spent last week pouring over the emancipation records published by Gwen Midlo Hall. Interesting stuff. Babies emancipated before they were born...Reason=good and faithful.

Some of the descendants of the emancipated left town to passe en blanc, some stayed in New Orleans (7th Ward), the rest moved to da Parish! The clueless folk in that video reminded me of our cuzzans from da Parish.

I am so jealous.

I have a kit but didn't get around to sending it back. They called and said if I returned it by Nov 23, they would do it for free and send me the results. That was Thanksgiving week. I remembered on the 24th. Now, I'll have to pay for the results and it just isn't in my budget at this time.

Maybe later this year.

Genealogy is fascinating. It's like being a detective.

Its part of my tax return. I find the idea of tracing my genetic migration back several thousand years to be very fascinating indeed.
