Republican Sexcapades With Cliff Schecter Of BraveNewFilms Highlights More GOP Hypocrisy

It's amazing that this is a near weekly segment on www.theyoungturks.com. This week was interesting in light of the John McCain situation (and Cliff is actually in the process of finishing up a book on John McCain), but this segment covers more than just that.

For the record, I personally don't necessarily care what politicians do in their personal lives (unless it involves molestation, rape, etc. which is not uncommon in any given week for Republican Sexcapades). But I *do* care about millions of people voting based on hypocritical politicians talking about their "values".

At what point do these voters realize that often times the people yelling the loudest about homosexuality (or any number of other supposed "values" issues) are, for example, themselves gay?

Geez... I would love to see the GOP take a pass like in scrabble. "Uh you kno3w what?....mmm we just don't really have a candidate thias year... uh, we're like, gonna pass on this cycle."

2. You mean the New York Times?

That's part of what makes the "liberal smear" charge so ridiculous. If it *was* a smear, it was very poorly timed.

If they'd tried it in December, Romney very well could be running Vs. Huckabee instead of McCain. And if they had waited until the general election, it would have been fresh in the minds of voters.

3. The second story was really troubling

Hopefully he never acted on his impulses. The third one seems like something that happens every other day with republicans! Maybe that is unfair and maybe we just hear more about Republicans doing this sort of thing but it still amazes me...although the guy does not usually get caught red handed and almost beat up like this.

4. Oh, I'm sure there are Democrats that are doing these things too

But it sure doesn't seem like they're doing them to the same extent.

And again, Democrats don't try to get elected based on "values", so while their behavior may well be wrong (assuming they're cheating or doing whatever), they aren't being hypocritical in those cases.
