WHNT, Huntsville is owned by
Oak Hill Capital.
WHNT-TV is the CBS television associate in northern Alabama, airing on UHF Channel 19. WHNT started its functioning on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1963. Late Charles Grisham, a local businessman, founded the station. Grisham sold WHNT to The New York Times Company in the year 1980.
The Times declared that it would put its whole broadcast group for sale, along with eight other stations affected in addition to WHNT. In January 2007, a declaration was made that an agreement had been made to sell the stations to Oak Hill Capital. The station officially exchanged hands at 12:01 a.m. on May 7, 2007. Oak Hill Capital operates WHNT as part of the Local TV LLC.
One of the Oak Hill Capital Partners is
Robert M. Bass.
Robert M. Bass ...and his three brothers Lee, Ed, and Sid Bass all attended Yale University, where they solidified their moneyed and political connections. Ed Bass was a classmate and personal friend of George W. Bush, and the brothers, especially Lee Bass, helped Bush financially both before and throughout his political career.

So, the loyal Bushies pulled the plug on tonight's 20-minute segment of the 60 Minutes broadcast, blacking out in parts of Alabama, the story of the political prosecution and imprisonment of former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman by the corrupt GOP, and orchestrated by Karl Rove.Is it torches and pitchforks time yet?
