yeah, that is how I feel right now, that we are at a restaurant and the only thing on the menu is a banquet of bullshit.
No matter what we order, we have only one thing on the menu - it's just that we have different terms for dinner depending on who is waiting on us.
We keep going to different places (candidates) but we keep getting served the same thing, they just change the description so that we think we are getting something better than the last place.
All the servers give special tables to their special interests, and we get the table in the back. We also get the leftovers, while they get the prime rib.
We have been invited to the banquet that the party wants to hold, but all we - the little people - get is a banquet of bullshit.
We are happy to be eating with everyone else, to have a place at the table. We are glad to have a place like DU to post our concerns and rants, but i guess we don't get that the people at the head of the table aren't reading the things people here are writing.
So they pay us lip service, hand us a plate of genetically modified hamburgers, and then wonder why we are upset when the other people at the table are given fillet mignon.
We got invited to the banquet because they needed our votes, others got invited because they had money to help them in their campaign. Why did we get something different at dinner when we were the ones they claimed to be courting?
Because they can go state to state and tell us what we want to hear, but in the end the people getting the best food at the banquet are the ones who can pay for the dinner.
Yeah, we will get something to eat, but why is it the people they talk to the most get the least while the people with the most money get the most in way of their needs?
It's a banquet of bullshit - feed the people at the end of the table the scraps, and feed the people near the host the best food.
Well, here is your wake up call - those people can give you the money you need, but it is us people at the end of the table who can put you in power. Forget us at your own risk.
Cause we are waking up and organizing, and if you keep ignoring us, you do so at your own peril.
Money can pay some of your bills when you seek office, but once you are there - no amount of money will cover your lies and betrayals.
You cannot win with us until you are true to the cause you told us you would fight for. No amount of advertising will save you.
I just had dinner, let's see what you can offer for dessert. If it isn't good, I will be going to dinner with someone else.
And I am not alone.
