Obama's trying the "thread the needle"..and the last thing he needs right now is to be associated with some of the odd stuff like Dick Gregory was spouting last weekend.. I alweays liked Gregory, but..:wtf:..

Obama's trying to NOT be the "black candidate", and Tavis' event is ALL about just that.

I understand why he does it, and it's every good, all in all, but the soundbytes that could have been and would have been used agaisnt him, could hurt his so-far stellar campagin..

getting elected is his primary goal.. if he's defeated, he can do NO good for people who have waited a lifetime for some affirmation..

Hillary NEEDED to go..and she did..Going to an event like that hleps her..especially after SC.
