They can't impeach anyone, they can't figure out a way to enforce subpoenas, they can't figure out how to say no to the regime in power nor can they come up with a way to curtail the regimes illegal activities. BUT they can spend an enormous amount of time and money trying to figure out how to charge an athlete with the crime of lying to them, This coming from people who lie for a living. They can find time to possibly pass a new tax on the oil companies, who do they think is going to pay that tax? Do they seriously think the oil companies are going to deduct that money from their bottom line without passing it on to consumers? Are they really that stupid? maybe not, maybe they just think that we are that stupid... Hmmmmmmmm

2. They have to protect sports

It is the only thing that pacifies many in this nation. Keep them busy with NASCAR, Baseball and Football then they won't think about how the government is screwing them.

They are questioning the comish of the NFL also. It amazes me how "tough" they are trying to be, and how weak they actually appear.
